概　要 　この装置は、吹雪の粒子を測定するために開発されました。地面から風によって飛ばされる雪粒子(地吹雪）を粒径別にカウントします。矢羽根が付いているので、常に風上方向からの雪粒子をカウントします。 This equipment has been developed to measure the particles of the snowstorm. Snow particles blown by the wind from the ground (drifting snow) are counted in the grit size. This device has a wing, so the wind direction is always from the snow particle count.

動作原理 　飛雪粒子を球形と仮定、粒子による光の減衰量を粒子ひとつひとつについて測定し、粒径別の個数をカウントします。これに密度を乗じて積算値を算出します。 Assuming spherical particles of snow, measured for every single particle of light attenuation by particles, and count the number of grit size.
